Fundraising reaches new heights for local community store
Six team members at SPAR Seagoe took part in the Europa Charity Abseil in aid of Muscular Dystrophy UK, raising over £900 for the charity.
The community focused store has been fundraising for numerous local charities throughout the year including taking part in the Miles for Mental Health Challenge which saw the team travelling over 700 miles and raising over £900 for Action Mental Health. The store also raised over £260 for Chest, Heart & Stroke with a coffee morning and raffle in store, as well as donating 37 Easter eggs for children and young people at the Blossom Centre in Craigavon Area Hospital.
Patricia Conaty, store manager at SPAR Seagoe commented, “It’s so important to our whole team to show support to our community, it is at the heart of everything we do. Well done to the six very brave team members for taking part in the abseil and raising a fantastic amount of money! We look forward to continuing to support our local community, charities and initiatives for years to come.”
