Lisburn community store raise over £1,400 for Dementia NI

The team from EUROSPAR Maghaberry in Lisburn held a community quiz night in aid of Dementia NI last month and raised a total of £1,423.

Dementia NI is a local member led charity which supports those living with dementia and works to challenge the stigma that comes with a diagnosis.

Lesley Duckworth, community champion at EUROSPAR Maghaberry commented, “Over 100 people from our community joined our store team at the local community centre to enjoy the quiz. The hall was at full capacity and the true community spirit filled the room. To boost the fundraising total, we also held a raffle on the night with exciting prizes including dining, drink and meat vouchers, a driving experience, car valet and beauty bags.

“I wish to extend a huge thank you to our store team and shoppers, as well as local businesses The Shed, Top Blade, Pizza Express, Joy`s Flowers, JMR Driving School, Drink Store, Martin Grimes Butchers and Karen Frances Beauty, who all donated brilliant prizes for the raffle. The support is so appreciated and helped us raise a fantastic total for a vital charity.”
