Newtownabbey retail worker raises over £2,000 for Little Princess Trust
Margaret McNeilly, customer advisor at SPAR Carnmoney Hill, might look a little different to her shoppers as she said goodbye to her lovely locks, all in the name of charity.
Staff members got together to support Margaret as she had 22 inches cut off her hair to donate to the Little Princess Trust. Maragaret has raised over £2,000 for the charity so far.
The Little Princess Trust provides wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions. The organisation is also one of the largest charity funders of vital childhood cancer research in the UK.
Margaret was overwhelmed with the amount of support of she was shown, “The support from our store team, friends, family and shoppers has been fantastic, I wish to thank everyone for their generous donations, helping us raise over £2,000 so far.
“I would also like to thank my friend Lesley Magee, and Zach McCauley from the neighbouring Dean Samuel’s barbers who both kindly took the time to visit the store and complete my haircut.”
