Henderson takes top gong at inaugural Family Business Awards
Henderson Retail has been named Family Business of the Year at the 2022 Business Eye Family Business Awards.
As well as taking home the overall top award of the night, the company which operates under the Henderson Group was also named Retail Family Business of the Year at the inaugural event run by Business Eye magazine, alongside lead sponsors NIE Networks and in association with family business specialists Harbinson Mulholland.
Henderson Group was established in 1897 by John Henderson, whose great, great grandsons Martin and Geoffrey Agnew jointly run the Group today.
Mark McCammond, Retail Director at Henderson Group who accepted the awards on the night commented; “In the first awards scheme of its kind, it is fitting that such an established family business as Hendersons would take home the Retail Family Business of the Year as well as picking up the top award of the night. Henderson Retail now operates 102 SPAR, EUROSPAR and ViVO stores in Northern Ireland, with our sister company, Henderson Wholesale supplying to over 500 stores.”
Henderson Group operates five companies: Henderson Wholesale, Henderson Foodservice, Henderson Retail, Henderson Group Property and Henderson Technology.
