Over 300 local families supported this Christmas thanks to community store’s donation
More than 300 families in the Craigavon area will be supported this Christmas, thanks to a generous donation from the team at EUROSPAR Lurgan.
The team have donated £1,000 to Saint Vincent de Paul’s Hamper Appeal, which will go a long way in helping the charity to create hampers for local families this Christmas.
The appeal encourages local businesses, schools, community groups and individuals to create, or donate towards, hampers for local families this festive season. The hampers provide families with essentials such as tinned goods, toiletries and sweet treats.
Jayne Thompson, Community Representative from EUROSPAR Lurgan commented, “We have supported Saint Vincent de Paul for a number of years and this year we’re proud to support such an important appeal that will ease some of the pressures of this season and bring light to so many local families this Christmas.”
Paddy McAnallen, chief co-ordinator and fundraiser at Saint Vincent de Paul, added, “Each donation, big or small, helps us to help more families across the country at Christmas, which can be a difficult time for many. We wish to extend a huge thank you to the whole team at EUROSPAR Lurgan for their generous donation and ongoing support.”
