Across the last 13 years, NI wholesaler and retailer Henderson Group, alongside teams from EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA supermarkets in Northern Ireland have raised over £1.8m in support of their charity partner, Cancer Fund for Children.

Their incredible efforts have recently earned them a Fundraising Partnership award from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland.

There are over 90 engaged EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA community supermarkets across NI and since the partnership commenced in 2011, store teams have embraced awareness and fundraising campaigns to help Cancer Fund for Children provide vital support to children, young people and families impacted by cancer.

The partnership has also enabled Henderson Group, which owns the brands in Northern Ireland, to highlight their passion for corporate social responsibility, connect with their communities and engage with shoppers and retailers.

Speaking on this,  Bronagh Luke from Henderson  Group who has been leading the partnership since its inception said; “Our partnership with Cancer Fund for Children goes from strength to strength each year.  Not only have we raised over £1.8 million for young people impacted by cancer but our partnership has worked for our business too, bringing our employees together in ways which boosts engagement and retention, helping build a loyal customer base, and enhancing our brand and media presence.

“We are thrilled to have been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland with our colleagues at Cancer Fund for Children. We have worked as one team to make this such a successful relationship, and we look forward to continuing our great work together for many years to come.”

Maria Small, Partnership and Philanthropy Advisor with Cancer Fund for Children said:
