It’s been a busy year for SPAR Palmbush in Kesh. Fresh from reopening after a complete rebuild of the store, the team is now celebrating 20 successful years serving their local community.

The store, owned and operated by the Corry family; Michael, Marian, Aiden and Colette, first opened in June 2003 with just 10 employees and now has a team of 40 from the local area thanks to the expansion of the store when it reopened in March this year. The family also runs ViVO Dromore in Omagh, which opened in November 2022.

The Palmbush development has enabled the family to meet the needs of their local shoppers, providing an extensive range of fresh food and produce from local suppliers, a hot food-to-go offering for breakfast and lunch, a deli counter, an off license and the popular Barista Bar Coffee offering.

In addition to supporting SPAR NI’s local charity partner, Marie Curie, the team also supports their community, providing a number of jobs for young people in the local area.

Mr. Corry commented; “Since opening, we have always sought to employ young people from the local area, providing them with essential experience and skills for their future. I was given that opportunity at a young age and I know how invaluable it has been to me, so it’s great to be able to give that back to the young people in our community.”

To celebrate their 20th milestone, the store held a community fun day on their birthday (3rd June) where families enjoyed face painting, balloon modelling and goodie bags.

Michael added; “We’re delighted to be celebrating 20 years of our store, it’s such a privilege to serve our community. It is so important for us to be able to provide our shoppers with choice, value and quality products and services.

“We also want to thank our amazing team of dedicated staff who make all this possible.”

SPAR Palmbush, Kesh is open Monday – Saturday 6:30am – 10:00pm and Sunday 7:00am – 10:00pm.
