Henderson Group hosts Ireland’s future leaders as Ambassadors for Programme
As one of the largest employers of Northern Ireland, having nurtured careers and leaders for over 127 years, Henderson Group has put its support behind Co-Operation Ireland’s Future Leaders Programme (CIFL) as one of the organisation’s Future Leader Ambassadors.
The CIFL is an all-island training programme which aims to empower the next generation of young leaders and peacebuilders, equipping them with the skills, confidence and networks to make a positive contribution to the future development of their own communities, while working with others from diverse backgrounds to take on an active role in peace building across the island.
As part of the programme, 30 young people aged 15-16 years’ old from Cork and Belfast attended a leadership workshop at Henderson Group headquarters in Mallusk before a two-day residential with Co-Operation Ireland in Belfast .
Justine McGreevey, Head of Henderson Group People Development and Academy Manager says the programme is aligned with the Group’s own values to nurture careers and bring out the best in their employees.
Justine commented; “At Henderson Group Academy, we are focused on nurturing our people to drive business growth; supporting the Co-Operation Ireland Future Leaders Programme means we can give the young people involved an insight into real life working scenarios and show them the importance of teamwork and effective and impactful leadership.”
Katrina McIlmail, Ambassador Engagement officer at Co-Operation Ireland said; “We at Co-Operation Ireland are thrilled to work with the Henderson Group. They, along with 70 other organisations supported us to deliver this exciting Youth Programme across Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Galway, Cork, Limerick and Dublin.
“The programme was established in 2020 and continues to go from strength to strength and we could not do it without the enthusiasm, expertise and goodwill of our amazing Ambassadors.”
