The EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA brands in Northern Ireland have launched their first in-store community engagement initiative since the Coronavirus pandemic with a Hallowe’en treat.
The ‘Find the Golden Pumpkin’ initiative will launch across EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA Community Supermarkets from 12 October, challenging shoppers to spot a store pumpkin sticker while browsing store shelves, to be in with the chance of winning a £100 voucher. There are 20 to be won.
Brenda Mulligan, Head of Brand Marketing at the Henderson Group says it is important to keep shoppers engaged in the wake of the COVID disruption; “Almost all of our shopper engagement initiatives were put on hold when lockdown began, and we feel it is time to reinvigorate our retailers with some fun that they can offer their shoppers in a safe way.
“We have £2,000 of shopping vouchers to give away, and all shoppers have to do is find the pumpkin sticker while they are in store picking up their essentials, take a selfie and upload to our EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages, or send to us via email*.”
While the initiative encourages footfall to stores, the retailer has said there will still be restrictions in place in terms of number of shoppers in store at once to ensure optimum safety.
Brenda continued; “all our EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA supermarkets have our normal safety measures in place; wearing face coverings is strongly encouraged, social distancing, an external and internal queueing system as well as heightened cleaning measures throughout the store, including high frequency touch points. We can keep everyone safe while giving them some fun and much-needed distraction.”
The campaign will run from 12 – 31 October and will be promoted across the brands’ social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, while promotional PoS will be implemented throughout over 60 participating supermarkets.
