McGinn’s SPAR Killyclogher completes refurb while celebrating 60 years of serving the local community
McGinn’s shop, which has been at the heart of the community of Killyclogher, Omagh for the past 60 years, has just completed a major refurbishment of its hot food and deli counter.
The refurb means the store is able to offer an extended range of hot food and gourmet sandwiches and wraps for its busy breakfast and lunchtime trade, along with a new Barista Bar coffee machine.
Thanks to the extended services, the refurb has also resulted in the addition of two members of staff to cater for the increase in business.
Kieran McGinn commented; “The feedback we have received from our very loyal customers, and many new faces, is particularly positive and the increase in sales is very encouraging.”
The McGinn’s are celebrating 60 years as local retailers this year, and with the additional milestone of 50 years as a SPAR store. The SPAR brand is also celebrating 60 years of serving communities in this year, after arriving in Northern Ireland in 1961.
Kieran continued; “We have grown our business from a small corner shop to a large convenience store, with all its services through our partnership with SPAR NI. We are really proud to have been part of the local community for such a long time, and will continue to look after our customers for years to come. We are also delighted that our staff and shoppers have raised over £18,000 for Marie Curie in Northern Ireland, thanks to its partnership with SPAR NI.”
Jacqueline McGinn added; “Our relationship with all the team at Henderson Group is very strong and has helped us to grow our business over the years.
“Our milestone anniversary is one we want to share with our loyal, local shoppers. We are currently updating our Facebook page and look forward to telling customers about ongoing competitions throughout the year.”
