The teams from two supermarkets have braved Ireland’s longest zipline in aid of local cancer charity.
A number of the staff from EUROSPAR Dromara and EUROSPAR Kilkeel visited Colin Glen Forest Park on World Cancer Day, 4th February, to take on the River Rapid zipline. The fundraiser was in aid of Cancer Fund for Children, the local charity, which EUROSPAR has supported since 2011, raising over £1.5 million.
The zipline is not for the faint hearted as it is 100ft high and reaches speeds of 50mph with views across Belfast City and beyond.
Both stores raised amazing amounts of money for the organisation, which supports over 1,500 children and young people going through cancer every year. Team Dromara raised £1,382 while team Kilkeel raised £690, bringing the total to over £2,000.
