EUROSPAR Brackenvale has celebrated the recent completion of its renovation with a series of community initiatives and fundraising for local charities.

This past weekend, six long service team members Robert McKee, Martine Kearney, Linda Holywood, David Skelly, Ian Marshall and Rhys Mercer, who between them have over 100 years serving the local community, officially revealed the new look store.

Alongside a host of improved products and services for local customers, the supermarket has fundraised for and sponsored a number of local groups and organisations, showing their appreciation and care for both their employees and shoppers. £1,152 went to MindWise Charity, in memory of their colleague Jan Gibson and £300 was raised for Guide Dogs, in memory of daily customer and popular local resident, Davy McAdam.

The store also sponsors a nearby summer scheme, Cúl Camp and provides water and healthy snacks for the 200+ children involved, as well as showing support to local football team, Newtown Forest, by sponsoring their kits.

The recent renovation will allow the store to improve shoppers’ experience and continue supplying their unrivalled services within the local area.

Being central to the community, the store provides shoppers with essential and vital value deals on everything from a coffee and breakfast before work to filling their trolleys for Tonight’s Tea, thanks to initiatives such as Mega Deals and Tesco Price Match, where over 1000 big brand products prices are matched to those in Tesco.

At Brackenvale, shoppers will find a new look for the food-to-go range, with the launch of the Delish Hot Bar, Fresh Bar and Pick ‘N’ Mix, serving tasty and freshly prepared food. The new line up is complimented by the first ever Delish Burrito Bar, offering tasty burritos, burrito bowls and nachos, which are customisable from a wide range of fresh ingredients.

Delish food-to-go is now served until 7pm daily, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner options, offering great value that’s big on taste.

The store is also adding to their extensive fresh and produce ranges to offer more choice for ‘making a meal’, with a long list of local suppliers including Orrs potatoes and H&J Carnduff butchers. The renovation will also result in quicker and more efficient service for customers with new self-checkouts and the SPAR Scan Pay Go mobile app, which allows customers to scan as they shop.

Over the weekend, the store celebrated raising money for amazing local charities. Young shoppers enjoyed face painting, balloon modelling and exciting giveaways, as well as the store going yellow for Cancer Fund for Children.

Michael Barr, Store Manager at EUROSPAR Brackenvale, commented, “It was fantastic to celebrate with all our local customers at the weekend and raise more vital funds for Cancer Fund for Children. We are delighted with the recent renovation which allows us to provide our shoppers with even more choice and value instore and to continue investing in our local community.”
