Family run Killylea store are celebrating 40 years serving local community
Oliver’s SPAR in Killylea, are starting off the new year by celebrating their 40th year in business serving their local community.
Since opening in 1982, the Oliver’s have embedded the store as a local hub, tripled their employee numbers and overseen two substantial store refurbishments.
Following the recent extension, the store now provides a more expansive range of locally sourced produce and fresh groceries, Irvines butchery range as well as a new Mauds ice cream counter. The popular Barista Bar Coffee has also been introduced with a new machine in-store, and a menu that features the signature americano, flat white, cappuccino and latte offering, alongside hot chocolate and seasonal favourites.
Over the past 40 years, the store’s team and shoppers have raised money for a number of charities including Air Ambulance Northern Ireland and Marie Curie as well as supporting local community groups. The team, along with their shoppers raised money to get an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) installed outside their store. This will be available 24/7, providing essential access and potential lifesaving equipment to the local community.
The Oliver family commented, “We want to thank our shoppers for their support over the years and we look forward to many more years serving our wonderful community!”
