Three EUROSPAR supermarkets have raised £3,800 for SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, in memory of their colleague’s baby.

Janice Gray, store manager of EUROSPAR Dundonald led the fundraising, supported by her colleagues in EUROSPAR stores throughout North Down.

She said of their efforts; “My whole family are so touched that my colleagues have put so much effort into fundraising in support of those who have lost a child. The Millisle store raised money by raffling off a bumper hamper in store with products kindly donated from local businesses, the Rathgael Road team had a pyjama weekend with a bucket collection, and our Moat Street staff dressed in blue and pink to highlight baby loss while also having a raffle for a luxury hamper.

“We are so pleased to hand over a cheque to SANDS which will go towards the valuable work they do in our communities to support grieving parents and their families. The loss of a child is just devastating but they bring light in the darkest of times.”
