McBride Group reveals new look store
Gortin Road residents were in for a treat as the team at McBride’s SPAR held a Customer Appreciation Day, offering local shoppers a first look at the newly renovated SPAR store.
Work had been ongoing at the Gortin Road store for 6 weeks and has finally completed after a £400,000 investment by owner, Peter McBride.
The revamped supermarket has a host of modern amenities and brings a wide range of new products and services to the Co. Tyrone town. In addition to introducing a larger selection of dairy and fresh produce, the store now features an improved hot and cold deli bar, offering customers a wide range of food to go options.
New Barista Bar coffee stations have been fitted along with a Tango Ice Blast machine and a new Bakery range, serving freshly baked, loose bread daily.
Technological advancements can be seen throughout the store with smarter lighting and refrigeration systems and the introduction of self-scan checkouts. The card-only checkout has been installed to give shoppers a speedier service, making a trip to McBride’s even more convenient.
Owner Peter McBride says he is pleased with the work that has been carried out.
“It’s great to have this work completed and I’m pleased with how we have enhanced the look and feel of the store. We set out to create a more modern, more convenient shopping experience for our customers and, with the works carried out to such a high standard, I am confident we have achieved this.
“To thank our customers for their loyalty, and patience while the refurb was being carried out, we wanted to host an appreciation day and on behalf of the whole team at McBride’s SPAR, Gortin Road, I’d like to thank everyone who came along but also to all of our valued suppliers who contributed to the day and the grand prize draw.”
Those who attended the Customer Appreciation Day were treated to family activities and sampling stations from many local suppliers, including Mash Direct, Mulllaghmore Bakery, Keeling’s and Kennedy Bacon, and had the chance to enter the Grand Prize Draw.
The draw was won by Ms Julie McKelvey from Omagh who takes home a year’s supply of Tayto Crisps and a family pass to the Tayto Factory in Tandragee Castle.
