Store teams come together in memory of colleague

Ten EUROSPAR stores across North Down recently joined together to fundraise for Marie Curie NI in memory of their colleague Anna Taggart.

Anna was an extremely valued member of the EUROSPAR Carrowdore team for more than 25 years. Her colleagues at the store led the fundraising effort with a fancy dress weekend and a game which challenged shoppers to guess a teddy bear’s name.

Together, the stores raised over £2,000 for the local charity, which provides care and support for people living with a terminal illness.

The stores that fundraised alongside EUROSPAR Carrowdore included, EUROSPAR Millisle, EUROSPAR Kircubbin, EUROSPAR Moat Street, EUROSPAR Portaferry, EUROSPAR Hardford Link, EUROSPAR Donaghadee Road, EUROSPAR Rathgael Road, EUROSPAR Gransha and EUROSPAR Ashbury.

Emma McCorry, Assistant Manager and Community Representative at EUROSPAR Carrowdore commented, “Anna is sorely missed by everyone, our store has not been the same without her and the knowledge and experience she brought. We want to thank all stores who got involved in fundraising with us and all shoppers for their support. It was a great month filled with fun, which was the best way to celebrate Anna’s life.”
