A dedicated Business Development Manager is assigned to each store. This BDM will be on hand to offer face to face advice and guidance on everything involved in driving retail sales and margin.

2. Tailored Marketing Packages

The media package for the Henderson Group brands is a varied mix of television, radio, press and outdoor advertising campaigns, as well as national and local leaflets. Promotional periods run for three weeks and bespoke point of sale displays are designed and delivered to communicate these messages and other marketing initiatives in-store.

3. PR Support

The PR department within the Henderson Group can assist with all aspects of retailer profiling. Guidance and support are offered to retailers engaging in community outreach, whether they’re sponsoring a local school sports day or raising funds for the purchase of a community defibrillator.

4. Retail Services Support

The Group’s Retail Services department specialise in ensuring retailers have the best possible in-store layout. They are always on hand to offer you free advice and guidance whenever your business needs it.

5. Transport

Based on your business requirements, Henderson’s can offer a 24hr lead time on deliveries, which take place six days a week. This leads to a more efficient stock ordering process and minimises product wastage.

6. I.T Support

Henderson Group stores can be integrated into the company’s state of the art IT system that has been designed with retailers in mind. The IT department is based in Mallusk and is responsible for the design of software and back of house systems used. Full IT training is available and there is a 24/7 helpline available to answer any IT concerns or issues.

7. Central Warehouse

 

Retailers receive access to over 6,000 lines across ambient, chilled and frozen categories via the centrally located warehousing facilities in Mallusk. Retailers can also order from the 6,500 products available via Henderson Foodservice, a market leader in the Irish foodservice industry.

8. Packages

 

The Henderson Group offers its retailers the opportunity to avail from a comprehensive suite of training courses through its in-house training scheme – “The Academy.”

The Academy provides store owners with the opportunity to equip their staff with the skills and confidence to efficiently perform their roles. Courses range from customer service, food safety, health and safety to personal development, plus much more.

9. Business Development Induction Manager

Transferring from one wholesaler to another can be daunting, which is why new retailers are paired up with a Business Development Induction manager in the early stages of trading to help them navigate this process.

10. Fresh

 

At present over 75% of fresh produce is picked, packed and produced on the island of Ireland, but its success at store level relies on quality maintenance and good first impressions. The Fresh team work alongside retailers to bring this department to life by increasing product knowledge amongst in-store teams and clearly defining and monitoring quality benchmarks.
