Community store announces support for local conductive education school
EUROSPAR Ranfurley has announced its support for Buddy Bear Trust, a conductive education school in Dungannon.
The school, which opened in 1993, supports children with cerebral palsy and motor disorders, providing them with support, encouragement and the tools needed to reach their full potential.
EUROSPAR Ranfurley recently announced plans for a number of fundraising activities and continued support for the school through the rest of the year, beginning with assisting the school with floral and planting donations for the recent visit by the Hungarian Ambassador to Northern Ireland.
EUROSPAR Ranfurley and SPAR Cohannon helped the school with preparations for the important visit and a number of team members from both stores were lucky enough to attend and meet His Excellency Dr Ferenc Kumin PhD (Ambassador Embassy of the Republic of Hungary).
The two local stores donated and planted flowers and bedding plants to help brighten up the school and team members from both stores also volunteered a few hours of their own time to help plant and set up the flowers, ready for the important visit.
Buddy Bear Trust teaches children from 3 months to 19 years old, helping them with mobility and co-ordination, supporting families of children diagnosed with cerebral palsy and motor disorders, raising awareness of the benefits of conductive education and providing advice, guidance and assistance to children and their families.
Brendan McConville, Chairman at Buddy Bear Trust commented, “Our school relies solely on fundraising and donations so this ongoing support from the store will help Buddy Bear Trust continue their amazing work and make a difference to so many children in the community and beyond.”
Clifford McElroy, store manager at EUROSPAR Ranfurley commented, “Buddy Bear Trust are doing amazing work for children and their families in the community. Its so important to us to be able to show our support and we have a number of events planned throughout the year to continue fundraising for this great school.”
