Describe what a typical day at work looks like for you

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main focus of my role is to manage the relationship with all external and internal customers and clients of Henderson Technology.

I am seen as someone who is there to help all types of customers from HRL company owned stores to independent retailers to internal customers (ie: BDMs, Finance, Marketing etc)

As the point of contact, my role touches all departments within Henderson Technology: Support, installation, training, development, administration, finance and sales.

Other duties include meeting with customers/ clients to provide education and promote the business, liaising with customers and key Henderson Technology personnel during the implementation of any new services (such as EDGEPoS installations) within the customer estate to ensure customer satisfaction with all works. As well as working with the Operations Manager to ensure that service requirements are understood and implemented in line with customer expectations.

Skills for this role include: excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and to possess good negation skills and display commercial acumen.

I am also the quality representative for ISO 9001:2015, which is a world recognised measure of quality and processes.

Who and what are you responsible for?

Customer relationships as part of the operations team within Henderson Group Northern Ireland. Contact and visit customers of Henderson Technology to maintain a consistent high level of service delivery, whilst identifying further business opportunities for Henderson Technology to develop. I am also the point of escalation for the support helpdesk.

How does your team fit into the Henderson Group? 

Henderson Technology is the retail technology division of the Henderson group- we provide the EPoS system EDGEPoS to the retail estate to help them effectively and efficiently run their business- we see ourselves as been a key part of the business management of their business

What are the best bits about your job?

The diversity, no two days are the same. From post installation meetings to ISO audit meetings to delivering a presentation to HRL area meeting to cow auctions!!

What are the best bits about your company (Henderson Technology)?

Dynamic, driven team, great leader Darren (Operations manager), who allows me to grow within my role and encourages idea generation. Always striving for continuous improvement. The relationships that I have built both within the Henderson group and externally.

What is the best thing about your team?

They are all passionate about the company and have a desire/ thirst for knowledge that the company nurtures to allow for future growth.

What attracted you to Henderson Group?

The fact it was a new business within the Henderson group, I was excited about the prospects and experiences that this would bring. It was also intriguing that I was able to use my retail experience and management knowledge within this newly created role.

When not working, what can you be found doing?

I am a gym addict, when I’m not busy with my 3 year old son, I can be found doing a vast array of classes such as: Bodycombat, Spin, Body attack, GRIT.
